First Impressions: Circle

A M A Z I N G. This drama is out of the world good. While the title, “Two Worlds Connected” reminds me of W, it’s not really two parallel worlds. Rather, it’s two different timelines within the same world. It’s an interesting set up, really, since we’re able to connect the two timelines based on events that happen and make speculations from there. Part 2 (Brave New World) really reminds me of Divergent in that everyone is so suppressed and reliant on technology. It’s interesting that Smart Earth and Normal Earth view each other as the dystopian society, and while Smart Earth is the one controlling all its citizens, there is such a nice color tone in that world, compared to Normal Earth, since Normal Earth is supposed to be a world polluted to a point of no return.

I have to say that the plot is really intriguing – literally cliffhangers at the end of every episode. There are so many questions to ask – is the girl really an alien? What happened to the twins? Who is behind the suicide attacks? Who made Smart Earth and why is it considered “the perfect world”? I do have my own speculations but I’m waiting to watch more to confirm. I can’t wait for the next few episodes and for the whole drama to come full circle. 😉
